Payment Methods
Our Terms and Conditions >>
MD Man and Van London operates under these terms and conditions and can only be changed if agreed by the customer and MD Man and Van London team. By confirming any booking with our removal team you are acknowledging your agreement with the following terms and conditions.
Quotations
All quotations are made with best intention and any estimates of how long a job will take, and hence the costs, are estimates only. You are liable for the full time that you use the service. If a fixed price for the job has been given this price may be varied if: a) the quantity of goods has increased b) the floors between the goods has varied c) the number of people to assist with the move has varied without prior notification.
Work not included in the Quotation
Unless agreed by us in writing, we will not: (a)Disconnect, re-connect, dismantle or re-assemble appliances, fixtures, fittings or equipment. (b)Take up or lay fitted floor coverings. (c)Move items from a loft, unless properly lit and floored and safe access is provided. (d)Move or store any items excluded under Clause.
Time of booking
We make every effort to be with you at the time you have requested. However the time given is an estimated time of arrival and we do not guarantee to arrive at that time, may be couse of bad traffic conditions. Every effort will be made to keep you informed should any delay occur. There is no automatic discount for late arrival.
Our responsibility
It is our responsibility to deliver your goods to you, or produce them for your collection, undamaged. By "undamaged" we mean in the same condition as they were in at the time when they were packed or otherwise made ready for transportation and/ or storage.
Packing
There is a minimum packing charge of £80.00 for packing services
Work Excluded from the quote
MD Man and Van reserves the right to refuse removal of items from parts of premises which, in the opinion of our driver, constitute a health and safety risk to either himself or other persons. If a driver concludes that the work cannot be carried out without damage to property or possessions but you (the client) wish for the work to be undertaken you take full responsibility for the damage and therefore waive any right to claim against our insurance. We are a removal company and our drivers are trained to fulfill their job as such. We will not under any circumstances remove any items that require plumbing or any other form of professional disconnection. All items you wish us to remove must be disconnected prior to the move.
Payments
Payments can be made in cash or by credit/debit card or PayPal. For all payment made with card, 3.5% will be added to the total cost of the job. If payment is to be made by credit/debit card the funds must be available on that card at the time of the move. MD Man and Van is not open to negotiate price once a move has been completed. Full payment is demanded unless prior discounts have been agreed.
Cancellation fees
There is a £25 cancellation fee for bookings cancelled with less than 24 hours notice and a 1 hours labour charge for bookings cancelled with less than 5 hours notice no exceptions. If bookings are being moved to another day the cancellation fee may be wavered at the discretion of MD Man and Van.
Clients responsibilities
As the client it is your responsibility to provide supervision of the van whilst it is being loaded/unloaded. You, the client, or your representative shall be present throughout the period of the removal and satisfy yourself that all goods are removed from the van. MD Man and Van accepts no responsibility for any goods allegedly left in the vehicle after the job has been completed.
Parking
You, the client, is responsible for ensuring that we can park legally at each address. Whilst we always endeavor to park legally if we cannot then it is a condition of our contract that you make an immediate payment to the driver of £60 (£100 if our vehicle is required to stop on a Red Route). If a ticket is not received this payment will be immediately refunded to you when the job is completed. If a ticket is received the deposit will be forfeit. This payment is wholly for the paying of parking charges NOT as whole or part payment of the moving charges. If the offence is on a red route then the payment will be retained because we WILL receive a ticket through the post. Payment of any other parking charges (pay and display, meters etc) will also be your responsibility. The quote provided is on the assumption that we will be able to park within 20metres of the pick up point. If we are unable to do so, we reserve the right to revise our quotation. Our advice is that you obtain a parking dispensation, obtainable from the local authority covering each address.
Congestion Charge
Removals with either pickup or drop-off addresses within the congestion zone during charging hours are subject to an £8 congestion charge,
Route Navigation
All our vans are fitted with satellite navigation systems which our drivers follow to get to each destination. If you are aware of a quicker/shorter route please inform your driver and we will endeavor to follow it, otherwise the driver will follow the route provided by the satellite navigation system and we accept no responsibility for how long the journey takes.
Insurance
Name of the insurer: The insurer of the policy is Gladiator insurance limited.

Limit Required – 20,000 vehicle/per trip Area – UK and EUROPE Excess – £250.00
Type of insurance and cover
This policy is designed to meet the legal liability insurance needs of hauliers, warehouse keepers, couriers, and freight forwarders for loss or damage to customers' goods, in accordance with the conditions of contract, carriage or trading specified in the policy schedule You must notify MD Man and Van office of any visible loss, damage or failure to produce any goods at the time of delivery. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to property after a job is complete and payment is received.
